Below is an e-mail i received form the Children"s Defense Fund. I wanted to highlight the successful outcome of just one of the campaigns CDF brought to the attention of millions of people regarding a very important and vital issue, that if not for the voices of people like you and i, would have had a devastating effect on millions of families.

Good news! Your calls were counted — your voices were heard! Today the Senate passed legislation by a vote of 75-22 to delay seven harmful Bush Administration Medicaid regulations. These regulations jeopardize vital health services to millions of children, including children who are low-income, disabled, those with special health needs, and foster youth. Now the measure goes back to the House of Representatives for a vote after Memorial Day. Protecting Medicaid is a critical step in the Healthy Child Campaign to ensure every child and pregnant woman access to affordable, seamless, comprehensive health coverage and services. Find out how your Senator voted!
